🌈 National Colour Day – A Celebration of Colour!

Life would be rather dull without colour! From the bright colours of a rainbow and the changing shades of autumn to our favourite clothes, flowers and works of art, colour is all around us. It can stir memories, lift our spirits and spark wonderful conversations.

To celebrate National Colour Day, I've put together a colourful collection of dementia-friendly activities, quizzes, fascinating facts, music and reminiscence opportunities, designed to stimulate the mind, encourage conversation and, above all, have some fun!

We'll explore the wonderful world of colour, discover some interesting facts about how we see and use colours, and think about the colours that have featured throughout our lives. There are plenty of opportunities to share memories, from favourite colours and fashions to colourful expressions and familiar objects.

🎨 And don't miss our colourful music quiz! There are 40 familiar songs with colours in their titles. Can you fill in the missing words? How many can you remember, and which ones can you sing along to?

🎵 Our Simon's Songs of the Day include Over the Rainbow by Judy Garland, I Can Sing a Rainbow by Cilla Black and True Colors by Cyndi Lauper - three wonderful songs to enjoy together.

Whether you're joining in at home, with family and friends or as part of an activity group, there's something here for everyone.

So let's brighten up the day, share some colourful memories and enjoy a rainbow of activities together! 🌈

Boosting brain power together to benefit quality of life.
