Welcoming October 🍂

October is here, bringing crisp autumn mornings, changing leaves, darker evenings and plenty of memories to share. This activity page celebrates the sights, sounds and traditions of the month, from conkers, harvest festivals and autumn foods to Halloween and the night the clocks go back.

We’ll also look back at some memorable October events, including Britain’s experiment with keeping the clocks forward and the Great Storm of 1987, as well as exploring some of the special days and occasions celebrated during the month.

There are quizzes, reminiscence prompts, conversation starters and autumn songs along the way. There is also a video celebrating Winnie The Pooh's 100th Anniversary this month. So make yourself comfortable, perhaps with a warming drink, and join us as we welcome October together! 🍁
