Shwmae! Su’mae! Hello and welcome!

Today, 15th October, we're celebrating Shwmae Su’mae Day, a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Wales, the Welsh language and everything that makes Cymru so special!

First celebrated in 2013, Shwmae Su’mae Day encourages everyone to have a go at speaking Welsh, even if it's just saying a friendly hello. You don't need to be fluent to join in!

In today's activities, we'll be taking a nostalgic trip around Wales, sharing memories of favourite places, people, traditions, music and television. We'll also have some fun with familiar Welsh words and phrases, test our knowledge with a quiz and enjoy some wonderful Welsh music.

Whether you're Welsh born and bred, have family connections to Wales or simply love visiting, there's something for everyone.

So, croeso — welcome! Let's celebrate the Land of Song together.

Hwyl am nawr! — Bye for now!
