'Gin & Tonic Day' 🍸 19th October

International Gin Day – Let's Raise a Glass!
Cheers! Today we're raising a glass to one of Britain's best-loved spirits – gin! From its origins as a medicinal tonic to the notorious Gin Craze of 18th-century London, gin has a fascinating history filled with colourful characters, curious facts and more than a few famous sayings.
Our International Gin Day activities take a nostalgic look at the world of gin, including its history, famous brands, memorable television and film appearances, and some wonderfully witty quotes from well-known personalities.
There's plenty to get those little grey cells working, with quizzes, picture puzzles, reminiscence and conversation starters. We'll also explore the classic gin and tonic, the glamorous martini and some delicious alcohol-free cocktails you can make and enjoy at home.
So, whether you prefer a G&T with ice and a slice, a sophisticated martini or a refreshing mocktail, pull up a chair and join us for a little fun, laughter and a trip down memory lane.
Cheers to good memories, good company and boosting brain power together!

Mine is a "Dirty Martini" and the best place I ever drank it was at the top of the 'Stratosphere Tower' in Las Vegas. As I have a fear of heights, it did indeed give me some Dutch courage.
