Statue of Liberty – 140th Anniversary
28th October 2026
Standing proudly in New York Harbour, with her torch held high, the Statue of Liberty is one of the most famous and recognisable landmarks in the world. For 140 years, Lady Liberty has welcomed visitors and inspired generations with her message of freedom, friendship and hope.
Gifted to the United States by the people of France, the Statue was officially dedicated on 28th October 1886. Over the years, she has become much more than a monument. For millions of immigrants arriving in America, the sight of the Statue represented the promise of a new beginning and a better life.
